    Hi, Mister Adult Affiliate!

If you take a look at my site, you will see that my posts have pictures included, but they are small in size, like 320×240. In this case, do you consider that captions and alt texts should be written for them? If they are so small, is there a chance that they would appear in searches?

It is hard work writing captions and alt texts, anyway, but if it is worth it, I would continue doing it.

I manage to rank pictures of a similar size since it is a standard for webcam sites so you do this too. Try adding them for some time and see if they bring you some Google search traffic or not.

If it works for you, it means I have to do it, too, because it will work for me as well. Thank you!

I stumbled upon another issue: when inserting the images into posts, clicking on them gives me access to caption and alt text, only these two options. But then I saw that the same images appear also in media library and clicking on them opens up title, caption, alt text and description, and caption and alt text fields are empty, even though I filled them in the post page.

What do i do in this case? DO I fill in all the details in media library? If I should, then can I simply copy and paste the caption and alt text from the image in the post page? How do you do it?

If you set these fields once, they should also be filled up in the media library as well. I am not sure if it is a bug, a conflict, probably related to your theme.

    Thank you for the reply!

Do you do descriptions, too, or just alt texts and captions? I know captions and alt texts are important for SEO, but are descriptions equally important, or should be ignored?

I always set alt text but I only set descriptions for the pictures in the most important posts or videos.
