    Hi,
I would like to know what affiliates prefer regarding payment.

1 – Use NATS but get paid by CCbill
2 – Use NATS and get paid by sponsor with paxum, paypal, check, wire
    3 – CCBill processor only
    4 – Epoch Processor only
    5 – Other

I prefer everything through CCBill for sponsor programs with only 1 or 2 sites. Larger programs and it starts making more sense to have a separate NATS install to manage it. Second choice would be Epoch only and last NATS.

It does really come down to how large a program is. I’ve always been suspicious with NATS paid by CCbill. There are one or two programs that do it but it never feels quite right and often confusing. Where do I look for stats, how do I know it’s included etc.

In fact I am currently with NATS and I hesitate to go with NATS paid by ccbill for this reason, I heard some programs that had trouble with this method.
In other hand NATS is a nice tool to help both affiliates and sponsors.

I like how CCBill bundles all the sales to reach a payment level, and I like getting paid via Paxum or Paypal. I’m never sure if sites that get sold are being tracked with Nats. I also don’t like it when I promote a large program, that has an assortment of smaller cash sites, and they don’t roll the sales together to get a payment out to the affiliate.

I don’t like CCBill for zilch support for creating affiliate tools. Yes, I realize it’s a billing program.

The other thing that bugs the shit out of me is “We have bought xyz cash and we’ve created an account for you, login here and pick up your links …” and I already had an account with xyzcash, and nobody answers emails to delete, remove, kill, discard, the new account, and I end up getting two or three emails with “my links” and anyways…. you get the idea.

that’s my pre-coffee rant for the day … carry on with whatever else you were doing ….

    @Bec,

I HATE when this happens. Thought I dont mind programs getting absorbed by others, and while a huge pain in the ass to change your links, it also gets super annoying when there is one central program with all of these other ones spoked out all over the place. Ive seen some cases as well where the stats report in both, which makes things super complicated when you’re reporting income to someone else.

That and its like email aliasing. Too much ‘magic’ going on for me to understand enough to properly use.

It really depends on a lot of things:

    – like others, I like CCBill because even one sale for one sponsor will count towards my minimum

    – I’m loving Paxum at the moment, but I also like receiving cheques … don’t like doing too much of any one kind of payment, you know, just in case

    – I don’t mind NATS if I’m selling enough to make it worth my while, i.e. I’ve been working for a decade it seems to hit a minimum with one NATS sponsor

    – I don’t like using PayPal because of their anal policies about adult stuff … I will if only absolutely necessary.

CCBill seems to be the most popular vote. I chose it as well.

NATS is great for clicks and sales stats and, if done correctly, promo tools. That’s where it ends. The fact sponsors have complete control over whether they pay affiliates or not with NATS is, well…scary. Thankfully though most sponsors who use it pay us.

From what I’ve been told by people who have been employed with CCBill for a long time, their processing steps are thus (abridged):

    1. CCBill takes their processing fee.
    2. CCBill puts aside the affiliate commission.
    3. The merchant gets their end.

An affiliate is quite safe with CCBill. It’s why I chose them over anything. My bank is run by idiots so I can’t use wire transfers. Checks are just fine though. They come in each week like clockwork and I always know I’ll get them. You can’t beat that. Unless CCBill goes defunct we all know we will get paid by them.

We’ve talked about this a billion times before – if CCBill was to improve their tracking stats and promo tools options they would immediately become the best adult processor and affiliate program out there.

    My few pennies CAD worth.

I’m in europe and for me it is not easy to manage payment for affiliates.

To be honest I hesitate between ccbill alone or ccbill by nats but the survey suggests a clear trend for ccbill only.

So why don’t you ask the affiliates who actually sell memberships what they prefer?

I have sold three memberships for French Dudes since I signed up with you in 2012. Not because there’s anything wrong with your site, I just don’t really have anywhere to use to the content as I’ve closed down a bunch of blogs.

So yes, I prefer CCBill, but where you’re concerned does it really matter what I prefer? I’m not making you any money.

It would be a shame for you to drastically change how you process memberships based on what 14 people said. And are any of them selling for you?

Also, everyone who voted for this option: “Use NATS and get paid by sponsor with paxum, paypal, check, wire” are sponsors who use NATS. Not really a great sampling there, is it?

I think you should do what makes most sense for you. The affiliates will follow if they think they can sell your site.

I do not understand your point, it is a significant decision and it can not be taken lightly, so we prefer to have several opinions including those who may become an affiliate.

We have good content but not enough affiliates to promote.
Our current conversion, all traffic is confused 1:750

In my opinion, the reason for blocking is the confidence to be paid and it is legitimate.

I intend to apply also to members, but before changing the method I prefer to be sure that everyone will be satisfied.

This poll will confirm or not my decision but will remain my decision.
