Why has it become a rital to signup for a program for adult affiliates in pasts you got a verification email asap, now you have to wait for days for them to review your blog or what ever. Are these affiliate programs picky on what blogs can promote their content, i made my first blog 3 days a go and i had decided i only wanted to promote a few that i know have good content and i also talked to a few friends what sites they liked and signed up for them too. But since friday i have not heard anything from these companies as it seems they plan to use 3 days to do a 3 minute job.
RichardGuestMost of these companies will not be working weekends…
robGuestTo answer the first question – because yes, programs often want to see where you are going to promote them. There is a large amount of affiliates who are signing up to commit fraud, or just want some banners to put on sites/blogs that are full or pirate content.
For the second question, Rich is correct – many won’t be as heavily staffed at the weekend.
MickeyGuestI can understand both sides of this one – the affiliate wants to get going as soon as he/she has found the sponsor and the sponsor wants to protect themselves from bad affiliates.. I have always felt that allowing the affiliate get started ASAP is the way to go, you can always review the affiliate on monday, if he happens to sign up on a weekend – the amount of damage done probably isnt going to be mindbreaking bad.
ryanc78GuestThanks guys for the reply’s, i was approved by the sites i had signed up for so that was great.

Hmm you’d be surprised. One time we had an affliate push through about 10 fraudulent sales over a weekend. By the time we caught on there were already 3 or 4 chargebacks. This costs a program a lot of money in fees, and also puts the processing accounts at risk because you are only allowed a certain percentage of chargebacks. Personally I’d rather wait a couple days for the program to approve me then sign up to a program that allows in fraudulent affiliates which could cause them to lose their processing account (and hence my sales and rebills!)
ryanc78GuestOk. was not aware of that i think i had 2 chargeback happen to me in 4 years on the other blog i have.
rayfatGuestIt is all about fraud. Anyway we do our best to approve affiliates in a less than 1 hour even on weekends.
so far we just denied 3 guys from a total of 14500 affiliates in 6 years. -
