Hi guys,
I have a question for you.
When receiving adult affiliate newsletters, do you prefer to have all the promo material for all the sites in 1 newsletter or do you like to get 1 newsletter per website? I’ve seen several programs sending 1 newsletter for each sites and personally I kinda like it this way too but I wanted to get your opinion.Thanks.
fahmisamerGuestGreat question Steve. I would also like to know the opinions on this. I’m getting ready to add some new adult sites into our network and was wondering the same thing for when i start sending newsletters.
FoongGuestPersonally as an affiliate I like them all in one, I don’t quite see the need to split it up, unless maybe the sites update on different days and you want the affiliates to promote on the day of scene release.
But other than that reason I just see splitting as a way to annoy me by filling my inbox with 2,3,4,5,6,7,ect emails when I could have just received one…
AlessioGuest@Foong,
What he said.
DOCGuestI agree. my main affiliate sponsor sends out a list of new and coming scenes for several sites at once, and adds the release date for each one. I don’t think they have any real restrictions on when you can promote a scene coming up in a couple of days, but most affiliates probably wouldn’t be putting it up before it’s there to send traffic to. It’s also a great way to give some affiliates something to gossip about on their blogs. If they knew a scene with a specific model is coming up in three days you’re giving them something else to write about before it arrives.
baffGuestOverall, I think the fewer newsletters the better.
How many programs are each of us enrolled in? 50? 75? 100? Most don’t send newsletters, but the ones that do stand a better chance of getting opened by me if they aren’t sending me multiple emails every week.
I would like to add that better timing of delivery would be helpful. For example, one program sends its newsletter late Friday night — it never gets opened. I’m in North America, I would say send it during business hours on a weekday to make it more useful.
marcjacobGuestIf you’ve got a dozen sites, combine into 2-3 per week. If you’ve got 2-3 sites, separate is fine.
rajdeepGuestWhat DOC said. I love how some sponsors do it. They send one newsletter in advance with release dates mentioned. Since the promo materials for upcoming are already available, it also gives me the opportunity to work ahead and schedule posts in case of holidays.
sonGuestOne mailer and I’d prefer to have a link that grabs all the content, I’m downloading content for 200 sponsors every week and I don’t like having to click one link for pictures, one for a video, one for a description.
Please include a text file with the description in the download as well.
Also, although you didn’t ask: Please don’t send out an email about a special the day the promo starts, I can’t drop everything and put up a banner or do a post. A few days notice would be appreciated.
FoongGuestI agree with son, and the others that said do it in one, even if it means make a big note of when the new material will be available to members. I’m also heartily in agreement with the

Some of these promos are for one day or weekend… I might not even get around to opening a newsletter email before it’s over, much less get promo posts in place!
