Hi,
I am looking into setting up an adult site which will consist of a blog, web cams and a traditional tube area with a niche. Money will be from affiliates only and I all videos will be either affiliate links or embedded from other tube sites.
I’ll probably be going with tmdhosting.com
I know there is the Digital Economy Act coming in next year where all sites that serve to UK customers will need age verification but that affects everyone so will deal with that when it happens.
I am in the UK and was just wondering if there were any others on here from the UK and if there is anything I should know, be careful of or prepare for?
Also most affiliates require a company name. How would I go about doing that? Would I just use my actual name or do I need to setup as a sole trader?
Many thanks.
Mr Adult AffiliateKeymasterYou can not go wrong with TMDHosting since I am using them on most of my websites and they are both affordable and reliable and thousands of adult webmasters use them these days.
Please use my links to sign up with them and other programs, I will get a small commission for this and it all gets into running this blog and forum for you guys 🙂
As for the UK’s porn blocker, I just have read a few days ago on the BBC homepage that they have dropped it.
There are lots of the United Kingdom based affiliates and you will only find more of them in the United States and this kind of verification would affect every porn website owner, regardless of the country of origin so you do not have to worry much, because I am sure that there will be an easy solution for this if it gets deployed.
You do not have to have a company name to work with sponsors. Just give them your name and you should be fine.
I have listed my top converting affiliate programs and you can be sure that you promote the best products, get paid, do not get scammed in one way or another. You can see the list here (just scroll down below):
arnoGuestThe age verification has been abandoned (bbc.com/news/technology-50073102) and it is good news because I can imagine how many headaches it could create for small affiliates that can’t afford to hire professionals to implement it.
I ain’t from the UK but I know many people from there that are in the porn business and you can run a regular adult site just fine so don’t worry about this at all.
