Yes everybody hates them… but what I really hate is when chargebacks are done 1 day before the end of the membership. Seriously… I’ll give someone benefit of a doubt for not enjoying a site he made purchase to for 90 days and decides after 60 days that site sucks or is misleading and makes a chargeback. But every chargeback I have had with CCBILL is 1 or at most 2 days before the expiration of the membership.
Do you think site owners and adult affiliates should let surfers know that chargebacks can result in not accepting their CC on their next porn purchase with CCBILL (if that is actually true)? People should know that chargebacks are punished (if they indeed are).
DOCGuestSorry but it shouldn’t take 60 days into a 90-day membership to know if they like it! Do you eat 2/3 of your terrible meal at a restaurant before sending it back? I think not.
Plus a CB should not be the first attempt at receiving a refund. Nothing irritates me more than when a member charges back but I’ve never heard a peep from them. I mean at least give me a chance to fix what might be wrong for you…
Thankfully we’ve always kept our charge backs to a bare minimum.
maxaffGuestNot much you can do about it. And yes, a site owner can add a member to a fraud database, but it doesn’t mean that’ll immediately affect their ability to buy more porn. I believe it may take a couple of such reports before it has a negative impact.
seeqerGuestDon’t forget, in case that it is a chargeback due to actual abuse of the card, many card holders see it only after 30 days or so with their monthly statement
jonvryantGuestCustomers who charge back CCBill purchases are added to our blacklist automatically.
JimsterGuestWe tell members that threaten to chargeback (usually after we refuse to credit them) that we will put their information on blacklists for all major billers and they will never be able to buy a membership again. I am tempted to start buying ads in local papers too, shouting out that Mr. Consumer joined our hardcore gay porn site!
matehtGuestThat’s why I love CCBill!
They screw us once, CCBill won’t let the same customer screw us twice! We have a new merchant account, and the system allows us to input consumers personal info (Name, Address, City, State, Zip, Last 4 of their card, IP, and any additional credit card info we want to input) and our merchant account won’t allow transactions to post through from those customers. They will get through, they will get charged, but it immediately refunds the customers transaction amount and doesn’t charge us the transaction fee!
