How are you guys adapting to the latest Google Abusive Ads enforcement? I’ve had multiple sites reviewed in the last 60 days, and I’m getting hit for sticky footer banners and popunders. Curious what you guys are seeing…

I do not get such notices on any of my adult sites since I am not using pop unders or doing any sneaky redirects or adding a fake virus warning kind of stuff. I usually put only two or three non intrusive banners and it seems to be working for me.

You can use the Abusive Experiences Report in the Google Search Console to check if you have any abusive ads displayed. You just need to log in to it (if you have an account there) and see what you need to remove to get approved.

If your sites are bloated with big screaming advertisements then you are going to get hit sooner or later and your search rankings will suffer. You will lose around 60% of your potential revenue if you do not comply, because around that number of internet users use Chrome for their main browser.

You can check out the Ads Standars here: betterads.org/standards/

So do not slap your visitors with big banners or pop ups, so this way you will actually keep them coming back and wanting to click on ads.
