Just interested to now how adult review sites are doing.
Do they suffer from down-turns in traffic at the same time as other sites?
Still converting well?
Do they work for you?
Which are the biggest? And so on.
Any thoughts?msmGuestI’ve had an adult review site up for about a year that does OK but not as well as I expected. It’s all original reviews with tons of keyword rich content but the site never seems to rank high under the search term “porn reviews” which I find rather perplexing. Maybe I need to buy some Google Adwords ads for the site.
skywalkerGuestReview sites are a tricky business, on their own hard to build up but if you do manage to grow it there is nothing that will sell better. Majority of my sales are through reviews and doing better every year while other things come and go. Traffic will always be the problem to a review site though. It’s hard to compete with existing major review sites for high seo results, if not impossible, and normal seo traffic is not easy either, afterall google would consider most review sites to be a ‘thin’ site or gateway.
ervisGuestReview sites are really no different than any other sites that send traffic. I’ve yet to come across a review site that wasn’t unbiased and ranked sites based on their true merit.
It’s all based on personal reviewer preferences and what is selling best at any given time.
Many reviewers are still living in the 90’s quoting technical aspects of videos and pictures (and getting it wrong) when today’s surfer/viewer only wants to see good quality videos.
Many reviewers also compare apples to oranges in their reviews. Comparing gay porn to tranny is a good example. Completely different content and pretty much a different audience. Yet many reviewers (and you know who you are) are fans of one and will rank other sites based on it.
I’ve been around for 10+ years and that’s my take.
JasunGuestTo be honest, Review sites aren’t going to rank as high because they don’t update as often as blogs which update numerous times daily.
Those blogs also become higher-traffic places because people can go and get fresh content all the time.
Mr Adult AffiliateKeymasterI do not run any adult review sites but I know affiliates that do. From what I have heard, these sites are doing pretty well, of course not as good as a decade ago but still quite good in comparison to the other adult websites. You will need a lot of well written reviews before you make decent earnings, so if you like to write about porn sites then you should give it a shoot.
