If you have both the .com and the .org of the same adult domain name, but you want the .org to point to the .com, what is the best way to set this up? My domain register has domain forwarding, which is what I am doing now (and is free), but I seem to remember someone posting something about how that hurts SEO.

Is there a better way, or is what I am dong Ok?

You are better off doing a 301 redirect otherwise you may get dinged for duplicate content.

Ok, so I googled how to do that, and there seems to be many different ways to do it. They all seem a little bit different. Does it matter which way it is done, or is there one method that is better?

I have dozens of domains redirected to my various adult sites. All of them have a “RedirectPermanent” directive entered.

If you are on Apache & depending on your setup, you can enter a “RedirectPermanent” to your httpd.conf file. Your host should be able to help with this.

I am certainly no expert, but that is what I do.

Also, after you have that entered, go here and check it:

    Redirectcheck.com.

There are different ways of setting up redirects and you want to make sure it has been done correctly.

For example, if you enter my site http :// mradultaffiliate.com you will see it returns “301 Moved Permanently” and redirects to the new domain.
