Completely out of the blue my account has been suspended and my site is no longer accessible. Has this happened to anyone else? What can I do?
IanGuestHad a reply from m3server. My site was causing heavy load on a shared server. No warning about the suspension they just pulled the plug. I’ll need to upgrade to a VPS to get my site back up and running.
BalaboitGuestContact them and ask them what happened.
BalaboitGuestIt seems we replied at the same time.
tyguyGuestI’m just curious how many visitors you were pulling for them to cut you off? Do you make enough money to easily afford the move up?
IanGuestAveraging about 600 visitors a day and trending up. Haven’t made anything from affiliate offers though. Getting clicks but no conversions. I upgraded to their basic VPS which is $15/month. Doesn’t break the bank but it’d be nice if money from affiliate offers would cover it!
I suspect my lack of conversion is due to my traffic source. I make gifs from the videos on my site and post them on Reddit with a link to the site. So the people visiting my site have had it put in front of them rather than actively searching it out like visitors from Google would’ve. I’m sure once i start getting some real organic traffic then my conversions will improve.
Mr Adult AffiliateKeymasterIt is quite common on the shared hosting accounts, because if your site receives too much traffic suddenly, it makes other pages that are on the same server experience heavy loads as well, so they have to suspend you.
I have been for many years with them, I do not remember having any downtime or something like this, but I have two solid VPS there.
IanGuestI was down for around 24 hours in total. They did the migration and helped me fix a few issues after the migration though, so i’m happy overall. It would’ve been nice to have had a warning before pulling the plug on my shared hosting though.
