    Hey guys,

What do you do to chinese traffic when your adult sites gets soft ban in China? I mean there is incoming traffic from China, but productivity is next to zero. Like 3-4%. I guess it means they can’t click or being redirected back right after.

Any thoughts on how to monetize it?

If you are having trouble converting Asian traffic, consider offering a payment option they can use.
Blocking the single largest economy on the planet rather than thinking outside the box about ways that they could actually convert for you doesn’t make any sense.

Sticky has a massive Asian following and we’ve created payment options for the traffic.
We earn roughly 10k a month from Asian customers in China, Korea, Japan, Singapore.

They are certainly not “all hackers”.

I don’t see the point of your question. As long as it’s not doing harm why does it matter where it comes from? My traffic from Japan, S Korea, Brazil, etc, etc is less productive in terms of sales.

The problem here is the same as usual amount of chinese visitors but zero clicks. They stopped clicking a week ago. That’s what I call a “soft” ban. They kinda can visit the site but can’t.

I don’t have troubles converting it at all and I don’t want to ban China or any other country. I want them back.

If they like your site, they’ll find you via their VPN networks which Asians even use to browse via their mobile devices (here in North America it seems to be used as a desktop/work security system).
I know that for us Instagram (which Chinese access via VPN) is instrumental in keeping our Asian following alive.

Ditto! We do the same and also have a large Asian membership base.

It just doesn’t make sense to me to block an entire country with VPN servers available on every street corner like McDonald’s.

If it’s security, burst attacks, account sharing or server abuse, just install ProxyPass. Works like a charm!
