Hi Guys. I thought I would pick your brains on a few hot topics for me. Little info about the adult site: Its going to be an affiliate marketing portal. So what I am looking to do is first make a blog site and then branch out into doing a few other things. In other words I want to create a brand.

Question 1: I see that there is a lot of linking sites out there, would it make sense for me to make a directory/ link site and then make it a
requirement that the sites have a link to my main site (not necessarily the directory site)?

Question 2: I think that advertising for FleshJack would be great especially that I love the product myself. If anyone has any experience what
what can you tell me about them, with regards to how the sales are and tools?

So those are my first two questions for now may have a few more later, but I have done a lot of research so hopefully I know what I’m getting myself into. If you could answer these questions or even want to give some input I would appreciate it.

Ah your post in introduction is live, we do move slower on mondays

Question #1 Not sure about that one, as how would you expect traffic to be driven to the link/directory site if all your incoming links are going to a different site? Then too, there is the whole Google issue with link lists, so again, not sure if that would be a way to go.

Question #2 Well they say promote what you are passionate about, so if you are really into the Fleshjack then perhaps, though I’d assume you would be doing more than just that? I suppose I can see where the emphasis is on the fleshjack, but using affiliate promotion of sponsors where the models are also using it. Sort of a double sell tactic I guess. Just not sure a stand alone fleshjack site would in itself make a lot, but then again, it might.

The site will not only advertise FleshJack. I am busy making posts for the other adult sites, however am still looking for more.

What I was thinking about with regards to the Directory list site is that it would be a sub domain of the original site so that would help promote the site and also allow me to advertise to webmasters?

If anyone can recommend college guy, guy next door and muscle twink sites that I can advertise I would appreciate it also!

Link lists could be a tough go, they’ve been dropping like flies and closing up over the past couple of years, so it might not be such a good business venture.

I love the Fleshjack myself, but have never been able to sell more than 2 or 3. But I see them advertised all over the place, so I don’t know if people are selling them or whether they forgot the banners were up. I would think that they’d sell well because you can buy them in the comfort of your own home, my conversion have been 1:1838, which isn’t great.

But give them a whirl, the one thing I’ve learned is that even two jock blogs promoting exactly the same sites can have different and opposite results. You don’t know until you try it with your traffic.

    1) A->B links are toast. The days of recips are dead and the logic isn’t very clear as to why. It’s not rocket science, and sites should be judged separate from what links to them/what they link to. If someone has a crap site and links to crap site B in exchange for a recip, they both suck. If both sites are good, however, the link is legit. If site B links to you and features perverted Russian scat with animals suddenly, well you have no control over what they do or link to so it’s not your fault. I fail to see the logic behind penalizing this. So link lists — not a good plan.

    2) I’m probably more perspicacious than some but hey if I decide I want a fleshjack for some reason (broken wrist?) I would never click a banner. I’d check on Amazon for ‘fleshjack’ and find 17 results. Some really not even close but enough that are close and close in price or less and hey I’ve got Amazon Prime so it’s here free of shipping in two days, and I know Amazon is the most legit site there is to give my credit card info to. I don’t care if it’s a fleshjack or a car jack — I always do this, and if it’s tech stuff I also add tigerdirect, newegg and maybe B&H to that list. So your job — to convince someone to buy from your link, first off convince them why choose that particular store and second off make them feel guilty for not supporting you by using that link, despite the fact they likely know they can get it through Amazon. Have fun with that one.
