Ok, had a look at both pornpin.com and sex.com and must admit that as a webmaster and paysite owner i am not exactly sure how to best take advantage of this new media, if its even possible?
Could someone with more brains than me please dumb it down for me and explain the options for me?
DemsGuestSounds like a sorting of bookmarking / file sharing type of thing … I find a picture I like and I “pin” it to my account. Same with a video. Then I can share all of my “pins” with other people.
Sounds to me like a mish-mash of a bunch of things … you can follow people (twitter), you can check out the photos they like (facebook), you can “like” and “repin”
Seems like they’re providing a place for people to share stuff with other people in a “this is what I like” kind of way and then they plaster banners all over the place to try and make money.
leytuneGuestPinterest.com is the fastest growing social media site right now. Mainstream marketeers are jumping on the pin boards like mad. The users that use Pinterest are merely women and gay men btw.
In the past few weeks a lot of Pinterest clones have been created (pinporn, sex.com, snatchly).
It works a bit like the sharing sites (Wired, Male Sharing, Men Are Hot) – but there are also similarities with Tumblr. You submit a picture, enter a title, select the board you want to appear your pin on and add the link to your adult site / gallery / blog post.
Other users can repin (share) your pins on their own boards. Because others are sharing, you can reach a lot of followers.
Both Pinterest and Sex.com send the most traffic.
Pinterest does not allow adult content (although I see a lot of adult content), but you are allowed to adult content.MickeyGuestOk, thanx guys… guess i will try and make an account and pin some stuff and see what happens..
leytuneGuestIt seems Sex.com has disabled the option to add a link to your picture… so now it’s pretty useless as a traffic source.
DimeGuestGo take a look at the black hat webmaster forums to see how lots of people are taking advantage of Pinterest.
cpaseekerGuestI think I’m going to give Pinterest a try for my mainstream site. It works very well for my cooking site.
PornGuyGuestHow do 2257 regulations impact the pinning sites? What if someone pinned a whole bunch of C P ?
Surely the free for all pinning will need to be monitored.
