What is the general rule for registering a person’s name to promote their adult videos?
I was looking at some domains earlier and noticed that a biggaypornstarname.com domain is available.
I was thinking about getting the .info for a fan page then got to wondering when I seen the .com hasn’t been taken. Why isn’t it taken?
Basically I don’t want to piss anyone off if I buy it.
I run a paysite for a big name, it’s a trademark issue, but we don’t go after anyone, just ask that they promote her official site.
I think it all depends on the individual and companies involved. The name itself could be under the control of a studio rather than the performer couldn’t it? Either could have an attitude about it, but I think it all depends on them.

If the star himself or a studio that owns the name wants it, I’ll give it to them.
I’d check your position before you just give it to them though, if they’re that interested in protecting the name they’ll buy it from you.
