Thanks, that sounds like a wonderful system to say the least and I’m jealous, but it’s over my head at this point. Thanks for contributing.

Also thanks very much to the other guys for taking time to write your thoughts.

I’m very interested in anything anyone has to say on these questions.

I’m the webmaster of the relatively new adult blog…

…and I’m very new to this forum. I’ve been learning a lot, though, in a very short time. I’m a total newbie to all of this, having just gotten the idea to do the blog last November, read “WordPress for Dummies,” and managed to get the blog up in late January. Anyway, I wondered if someone could elaborate on what to put in that “Alt” section. As for the Title Name, I almost always rename them beforehand. For instance, right now I’m doing a post on a black muscled guy named Marlone Starr, from Stallion Men. The first photo I am using is currently titled, “Marlone Starr 2”. So, for SEO purposes, should I change that in some way, perhaps adding the name of the site, making it something like “Marlone Starr Stallion Men 2”? As for the description of the photo in the Alt link, should that be something like, say, “Black Hunk” or “Black Muscleman”? I’m also wondering if I should be putting anything in the “Caption” and “Description” sections. So far, I’ve been leaving all of these, except for “Title,” blank. Thanks in advance for any enlightenment you can provide. And please feel free to check out my site when you have a chance and give me any critiques you have. Thanks again!

The ALT tag should describe the image, in a few words while the Title tag should describe the link, again few words.

Don’t get trapped into stuffing either with keywords either, be judicial on their use, and insure they are relevant.

As for your questions, my general advice would be not to get too worried about on-page SEO. No one knows what the algorithm is looking for specifically, and even if they did, it keeps changing.

If you are looking for SE traffic, try finding key target phrases (use something like Wordtracker for that), then use that in the title of a post and naturally build your text around it. Naturally is the key word here – do not overdo it.

Like DOC suggested, avoid keyword stuffing or anything else that may look artificial or spammy. Focus on creating your content and off-page SEO.

I see you have your blog listed on various directories, which is great. You could now work on building incoming links by doing smart link trades with other blogs – gradually and steadily. IMO, this matters much much more than “fine tuning” your onpage SEO to parameters no one actually knows for sure what they are.

Thanks so much. I’m still so new at all of this, so I really appreciate your help. And, thanks for looking at my blog and all your advice, which I will follow to the letter. Actually, I’ve barely made any sales, but I don’t really expect to make any until the blog is more well known (hence the obsession with SEO).
