Last month I noticed two sales come in from China for CashKaboom (via Verotel, tracked by NATS). I have never seen a sale come through from China in all of my years as an adult affiliate (at least from the information collected by programs using NATS)
I was initially skeptical that they would be legit sales and asked Eric from CK to have their fraud team look at the transactions.
So far no chargebacks and they have both rebilled.Has anyone else had a history of sales coming from China, or is this a new thing?
From what I heard Chinese sales are rare because:
– 99.9% of the Chinese residents can’t get regular credit cards, only UnionPay branded, which don’t work online. (Except with the AlliPay biller, which doesn’t allow adult of course.)
– the 0.1% who can apply for a VISA/MC card won’t be able to pay online either because those cards aren’t enabled for online payments.So mostly Chinese sales would come from foreigners.
Hopefully the info isn’t too outdated.
