I have a social adult hookup site and some members pay but most dont and log in for free. The paying members get much more access to the site.
I just had 2 weeks of extreme slowness where pages took 30 seconds+ to load.I want to give all paying members a free month to make up for the slowness.
I was planning on emailing only all paying members to let them know about the bonus month, but a friend said I should send an email to everyone, including free members, to let everyone know that paying members will get an extra month to make up for the slowness.Should I send the email to everyone, or only paying members who this email actually pertains to?
I dont want to alienate my free members or tick them off with an email that’s useless to them, but on the other hand some free members might see that I’m a nice to to give the credit and it may inspire them to be a paying member.
thoughts?
Mr Adult AffiliateKeymasterNo, I think you should send it to everyone. It will show the non-paying members that you are a good site owner and you care. It may make them think about joining because they now know they are not going to be jerked around.
You might also include a special offer for the non-payers that if they join in the next three days, they will also get a second month free. I would put a 3 or 5 day expiry on it, it increases the “urgency” to join.
smartapeGuestThey’re not paying you anyway. You’ll put yourself on the radar again to those who maybe haven’t visited in a while.
javscojayGuestPersonally, I would agree with what MRA said. Could be a good way to garner a few more paying members. Can’t hurt.
DougSGuestOh wow that is an Excellent idea! Thank you very much. I will do that
