Hi!
I have recently signed up with streamate, and they keep asking me for tax documents, like a W8, since I am not a US citizen:
‘Urgent: We require that you upload certain documents to verify your payee information. Failure to provide these documents may result in payments to you being put on hold. Visit the KYC information page for additional information or go directly to the Account Documents page to upload your documents.’
But no other site that I have been working with asked me for this. Do any of you get the same request from streamate, or is this just for the new webmasters? Do you avoid it, somehow?
Some adult affiliate programs ask for it and you can fill it up easily, just do a research on how to do that in your region/country and there should not be a problem.
It is not about not knowing how to fill the form. It is about how all the other webmasters feel about beong forced to fill the tax form,
I have been promoting porn paysites and webcams for five years and some companies, especially US based ones require such forms or files. I don’t like doing it for many reasons but I do that anyway with the companies that are well known and have been working with.
The question is: what do they do with that information? Do they hand it to the government? Or just in case they are asked about it, they hand it? At least that is what I understood from streamate.
