I have three sites that I have no interest in anymore. Selling the website and selling the domain has been impossible, because I can’t even give it away for free.
So does anyone have suggestions on what to do with websites that are dead, but you cannot get rid.
Any suggestions would be welcome.December 8, 2017 at 2:44 pm #4115
Which sites? What type of content?December 8, 2017 at 2:45 pm #4116
They are just three gay porn blogs.December 8, 2017 at 2:45 pm #4117

Unfortunately, the value of sites unless they are very big is pretty low. Often the value is either the existing content but also whoever was behind it that also created the content. Take away the content and just selling the domains, then it needs to be some very good names to be worth doing anything with it.December 8, 2017 at 2:46 pm #4118
The only thing I can think of is just redirect the traffic to my other blogs that I’m currently working on. As any traffic is better than no traffic.December 8, 2017 at 2:47 pm #4119
I agree, if they’re not making at least enough to cover the domain renewal you should just not renew.
Or if you hate to part with them you can just do what domain squatters do and post a bunch of links related to the domain name. I have no idea why they do this… perhaps people actually click on the links?December 8, 2017 at 2:56 pm #4120
Thanks for all the feedback, I’ve closed down the three sites and will be re-directing the traffic my posts get.. But on my home page there is just a generic page advertising my books.
