Surfers are funny little things. No one commented until we added some fake comments, now they are. Very low % of the visitors comment, but its nice to see.
Perhaps Ill do that on my other adult blogs.
Funny you said that. I used to do the same thing on gaydemon. Dont do it anymore, but it seemed to get them going and now there are comments now and then.
But even so, it is always very difficult to get any comments or interaction from surfers.
I guess their too busy wanking to type…
surfers aren’t the only ones. an empty webmaster board tends to stay empty. a webmaster board started with a core group of posters who are posting tends to immediately get more people posting.
humans are gregarious animals. they told me that years ago in both a psych and philosophy class, and it does seem to be true when it comes to posting.
Yup, nobody likes to think they’re talking to themselves.
a little “fake” boost to start a community is always useful.
