Just a heads up, their business cloud hosting at TMDHosting is priced at “6.95 a month*” and regularly “11.95”, if you follow the asterisk at the bottom of the page it says “for the first month” this is not completely true. That is for the first month if you commit to a 3 year contract which you need to pay upfront, they don’t specify until you sign up. If you don’t do the 3 year contract it is “13.95 a month with a 9.95 set up fee” just so people know they need to invest more than they think to secure that deal.

Not entirely true. I bought a monthly plan first, and I asked to get a free installation for my adult site. They gave me a code and I got the installation for free, although you have to pay for it if you buy only one month hosting. Then, after two days, I told them I want to purchase a yearly plan, and to recalculate everything. And they did, and it is like I never paid for one month, but for a year. And I got the discount. I am pleased with their services, so far.

How is that not entirely true? I have their hosting on a monthly plan and I got the code for “free installation” too. That doesn’t change the fact they say the first month is “6.95” but fail to specify that’s only if you get a 3 year contract until you’ve already been baited into it. It also says the regular price is “11.95” which also isn’t true. It’s “13.95” how is anything I said not accurate other than you can get the automated installation for “free”? I have their hosting I’m just letting people know that unless you plan to pay upfront for 3 years, you’re not getting it at that price. Most people here starting up are on a budget and I’m letting them know the first month price of “6.95” is actually “13.95” unless you want to pay long term up front. So giving the people on a budget a heads up, it’s slightly misleading.

Also, you reiterated my point. You paid for the year up front for the discount. Some people can’t do that.

Almost all hosts do that and they of course have an incentive to make you sign up front for the longest terms possible but that does not mean that they are not offering good service, they sure do while still being affordable.

I do not think ‘regular price’ means ‘monthly price’. What it means is that if they would not give that discount, you would pay 11.95 a month for a 3-year plan. But they give a discount, and you pay only 6.95 monthly for a 3-year plan.

It also says on the asterisk ‘Prices reflect discount on the first term’, not ‘on the first month’. It depends on what ‘term’ means for them. I am not a native English speaker, but I looked it up, and I saw different time intervals for the word ‘term’. But then I saw this on the asterisk under the menu with the hosting plans: ‘* The special initial price applies for the first invoice only. Once your initial term is over regular $11.95/month renewal rate applies.’

And let’s face it, you cannot be already baited in, as if there is nothing you can do anymore after you chose the first step. They have that drop down menu where you see the exact prices for everything: monthly, yearly, 2-year and 3-year plan. You can simply choose not to go further after you see the prices. You do not even have to sign up, you can just scroll down to see the plans first. That is what I did, and only after that, I filled in the details for signing up.
