Hi, i posted this question concerning adult affiliate traffic in different boards and got more or less the same reply: that a conversion rate of 1:500 is the normal standard and a conversion rate of 1:216 would be an excellent result.
so, since there are primarily affiliate webmasters at mr adult affiliate, i was interested in your opinion.

there’s no way to answer that without know what kind of traffic you are talking about. if you are talking about overall traffic to a paysite from a wide variety of traffic, i’ve seen a wide spectrum of conversions, although they are generally between 1:250 and 1:2000 – many reps and program owners do claim better conversions than is real.
but keep in mind that conversions aren’t everything. i had a client who had a couple of affiliates sending them massive amounts of exit and unfiltered 404 traffic. it added up to around 200,000 unique hits per day but only made an average of 10 sales per day. of course, this changed their overall conversion ratio a great deal, but on the other hand it never hurts to have 300 extra sales per month.
btw, not sure why you think there are primarily affiliates here. there are plenty of paysite owners, although some paysite owners are also affiliates for other sites.
It all depends what kind of sites you have/use, what niche, how ‘new’ content is, etc. I have found that PPS converts at a higher rate, but Revshare in the end makes me more money. I have some sponsors where some of the members have been earning me money for many years. I would say my average conversion rate is between 250 and 350 which does not include rebills from Revshare programs.
i’ve seen paysites that convert at 1:120 or better – which had a lot to do with my filtering – and paysites that converted at 1:1200 even though i was filtering. i’d consider filtered traffic should convert at 1:300 or better, unfiltered gallery traffic should convert at 1:1000 or better, gallery sent to a niche or fetish site should convert at 1:700 or better, review traffic at 1:400 or better (usually or better. i’d consider 1:250 or better pretty good, 1:200 a good and doable target for a good site). then there’s freesite traffic, which i haven’t gotten steady enough to know what’s good.
A lot depends on the traffic and the site. We have sites that convert at 1:100 and on the other end we have a site that converts at 1:1000.
When I was an adult affiliate most of my sites converted at 1:400ish that I marketed.
If you are at 1:10000 I would look at ways to make that better.
