On this one blog, posts are published at the exact same time every day, so there’s really no need for users to subscribe. However, subscribing to specific types of posts would be a lot more useful.

I need help finding a WordPress plugin that:

1) Allows users to subscribe to get email notifications of a particular post based on categories and tags.
2) Works so that if a post contains multiple categories/tags that a user is subscribed to, doesn’t email the same post multiple times.
3) Gives me some level of control over how the notification email looks.
4) Possibly also gives me the ability to edit subscriptions on the backend.

Open to free and premium options. Worst case scenario I will have to give in and try to develop my own.
