I am not sure if it is against their TOS but they may blacklist your domain, but it happens very rarely.
I am not sure about it since I only use these themes on sites that embed videos. You will need to ask the owner.
It is a very useful plugin but I do not really know when it will be available for the sale once again. My best bet is that you may contact the owner and ask him if he would sell you a one license of the plugin.
There is no minimum number of posts you should add. I would say, the smaller your niche is, the less you should post.

There are some forums which you can use to drive traffic. Some examples are board.freeones.com/forum.php or peachyforum.com. Well, I do not use forums to drive traffic or very rarely I do these days, but you can use some forums to get backlinks, but it requires more effort. You will need to create an account, post about 20 or preferably more messages without posting any links and then after some time, you can post your link, but some forums will not allow to post any links even if your account does look legit. Just keep in mind, that one method/strategy may work for me, but not for others.

I really do believe that hosting videos on your own servers will look much better and more legit for your surfers, your videos may rank better too but you will have to upload all content yourself, so it surely will take a lot of time.
You also have to be prepared for a big hosting bill. Streaming adult videos cost a lot. Especially when you are marketing to a lot of freeloaders.
If you are just starting out, I do not think you want to jump into the tube site market. The bandwidth costs of said sites is horrendous and conversion rates generally suck pretty good. It takes a lot more clicks to make a sale.
I do have adult sites that embed videos and they do quite well too.
May I suggest starting out with the tube theme from XWPThemes, they recently reduced their prices on all their scripts so it is totally cheap at just $40 or less, and these themes work fine with the most popular tube sites. So set up the script, import the massive amounts of hosted videos that are available, then give your hand at promoting it and getting traffic.
That will give you a good taste for a tube site without costing you an arm and a leg in bandwidth, and also saving you the hassle of checking user uploaded clips for legality.

You can exchange links, but do it wisely. What does it mean? Find related sites on the Google, see their sites and if they may be good, then try to reach them out for a possible link exchange. If your site is new and you do not have much traffic, then most likely the top sites will not want to exchange links with you yet.
With the Reddit, you have to be smart. Do not spam in every post, but first post some stuff that has nothing to do with your website, grow your karma and then start posting to promote your site.
If you want to create the WordPress tube fast, then grab a theme from XWPThemes.com and build your own site. I am using their themes and they can do pretty well if you work on your sites.
