I have been approached to do an adult picture site. My first thought was to run away but then I decided to ask what you guys are thinking. Do you know of any site bringing some money with pictures only? Do you promote such site?
i’ll promote one if:
the pics are very high quality and good sized and there’s enough sets (i reviewed a pics-only site with 12 sets. that’s not big enough)
or
it’s a glamour site in a niche like underwear
or
the site is a micro niche or under-represented niche.does the person/company that approached you run successful sites?
There are a couple that I promote, I don’t mind sharing the stats with you for them so you know what you are getting into:
The first site: 1 in 485, $0.04 / Hit
The second site: 1 in 292, $0.03 / HitThe first site is reviewed on my review site, the second one is not. But as you can see both are actually selling quite well, infact better than some major video or normal sites.. actually much better as there are many sites that only pay $0.01 per hit.
BUT
These are quite artistic sites, the photography and models are very good. You got to get it right. Without those it won’t sell at all… Please note, the guys are NOT your standard good looking, perfect body pornstar. Its normal but very attractive guys. There is a big difference.
i dunno, DOC – i think an artistic site featuring perfect pornstars with perfect lighting could be a great seller.
His success based on revenue is limited but he ranks around 400 000 on Alexa so that is not too bad for a paying picture site. hence we can capitalize on it. Our plan would be to produce new hard core videos and beef up the sit but we would start up with mostly picture 4 hardcore and 18 solos….
