I don’t know if anyone has noticed this or if it is just me, but it would appear that ALL explicit tumblr images have disappeared from google images search results. This happened around 2 months ago and I sort of assumed it was a temporary bug, but possibly now its here to stay.
I know tumblr have now made all adult blogs only accessible after login and with parental filters turned off, but don’t know if this is the reason for all results disappearing from google images, seem they may have shot themselves in the foot traffic wise if so.
This also means that a lot more blogs are ranking here rather than just tumblr results, which is always a good thing I suppose… I know Google Image traffic is rubbish at best, but its still traffic…
Thoughts anyone?
no, not something ive noticed. However there was apparently some major Google updates over the summer that affected a lot of sites. however its unconfirmed by Google.
In my opinion, Google have made some significant changes in their algorithm. It all started in July. One of my blogs had only about 400 visitors a day. Since July so far, it has a growth of 1000 percent. The same thing happened with yet another blog of mine, which was previously hit by a Google update released in October last year. Apparently Google is now able to discern well-kept blogs, which is something very positive.
Of course, I’m happy to see that all these free Tumblr blogs are finally out of the game. I hope the same will happen to all big tubes with their pirate content.
Interesting… Maybe we will see the start of some positive moves for us from google!
