I think it would be nice to have a list of all essential WordPress plugins that every adult website should use. I’m just about to start my first tube and I’m very confused which things can help me and with what. I do hope that you could list some most useful ones, of course, I would prefer freebies but if they’re good, might be paid too. I’m all ears.
First of all, I have to stress that you should enable only plugins that you really because the more you use, the slower your site will be.
I have a rather short list of them but they are essential for anyone that is running an adult WordPress site of any kind.
The KenPlayer Transformer from XWPThemes is a must have tool for those webmasters that are going to embed videos from other porn tubes like PornHub, XVideos, RedTube, and others. It removes all the nasty advertisements (including redirections, pop ups, banners, big logos) from the said brands and it lets you add your ones instead.
It will not only make your adult site look more professional, but it will also improve your bounce rate, average time which will lead to boosting your search engine rankings and making more money for yourself, not for these big guys.
This plugin is not free, but once you purchase it, you can use it on up to thirty different domains and it is really affordable considering how useful it is.
If you want to get lots of content in seconds, without having to add thumbnails and look for videos manually, the Mass Embedder from WP-Script is the best adult plugin to import videos from the popular tubes. It has over 50 tubes integrated and I have been using it for years now and it does the job very well.
I would also add that their WPS Checker tool is also very useful. It does a very simple work of reporting all deleted embedded videos but it can save you a ton of time and it costs only a little bit over $20 so you might want to get the copy of it.

The Yoast SEO is widely used by all kinds of webmasters that manage WordPress businesses. It is relatively easy to use and what it does it helps to optimize your site for Google.
Pretty Links is quite popular in the mainstream industry but I very rarely see adult affiliates mention it and it is quite surprising provided how helpful it can be if used correctly.
It is a freemium plugin that allows you to create short links like bit.ly does on your own domain.
I primarily use it for my affiliate links. This tool not only saves my time when I want to replace the sponsor, I just have to once change the link in the settings, instead of updating links in all of the posts or videos that they are used in.
But it is also a very good way to stop ad blockers from removing your ads and affiliate links that you use to promote adult programs on your site. If you use your unique link provided, let’s say by Chaturbate and you add it anywhere, people that use the AdBlock and other similar apps will not be able to see this link because it is blocked by AdBlock.
But if you use the Pretty Links to create a new link with your Chaturbate affiliate link, it will be displayed correctly, because now the AdBlock does not recognize it as an advertising.

Besides the plugins that are already mentioned by MrAA, I would like definitely recommend “Classic Editor” if you want to disable the new Gutenberg editor to the previous one that I preferred.
I also use “Anti-spam” on my adult websites and it does a good job at flirting out spam. It has a paid option but the free one should be sufficient.
For everyone please do not buy for xwpthemes, for now it just a dead website with lack of support, u can see in their forum support, kenplayer doesn’t work in PORNHUB, ken importer and xvideos importer not work.. They are just history now..
You probably have some other issues that might not be directly related (it might be your server causing these issues or something else) to the KenPlayer plugin since it works on my adult websites and you can see that PornHub videos are loading fine with their player here: javbang.com/2016/04/29/punished-teen-gets-tied-up-and-fucked-hard-pornhub/
I don’t have any plugins to add, but I would like to mention that you should make sure to keep the number of plugins to minimum, they not only slow down your servers and make your site load longer, but some of them are not updated as often, which makes it an easier target for hackers so you should use tools that you really need and don’t add as many as possible.
it’s nice to see such a thread. i often see similar ones but only for mainstream sites, but there certainly is a need for a list of useful WordPress plugins for the adult affiliates.
the first suggestion is an import tool that lets you to grab and post hundreds of videos from tubes in a few simple clicks.
i’m a programmer myself so i coded my own scrapers for that purpose, but i can’t recommend anything that is available to open purchase since i haven’t touched them with my hands.
i have found that the lazy load feature can help to make your adult site load faster. just search for lazy load for wordpress on google and you will be given some results.
Wordfence is good for security purposes and it is free. it has over 2 million active installations and recommended by many.
this is what i use but make your own judgment if you need them.
I have updated my original post with some more information and I will keep adding new plugins if I find something worthy. Please feel free to do the same.
There are tens of thousands of different tools out there and I am sure that are some hidden gems that I have not heard of before.
There are many quality plugins mentioned here and I use most of them, but I would like to add one that I use and I understand that it is not something for all webmasters but some can make a good use of it. I am talking about the CyberSEO and it is a software that helps you to automate content to the website using RSS, Atom, and XML feeds. It is like 130 dollars but it is well worth it if you need something like this.
Doesn’t this create duplicate content?
