How do you exactly make money being an affiliate?
-Customers pay the brand (not you)
-you advertise but the brand gets most %

    ALSO:
    1) If I become an affiliate with multiple brands, can I promote my own site from within the affiliate site?
    2) where do I get models for my own site, is there an agency that provides that service?
    3) if not what should I offer models in the beginning to incentivize them to stay on? for how long?

It is a quite simple concept. You as an affiliate get paid a commission for every sale you refer.

So for example, you want to promote Chaturbate. You sign up for their program that gives you tools (including banners and a unique link) that you put on your site to promote them and when a visitor click on your link and he will be sent to CB and when spends money, you will get your own cut. With the CB, you will make 20% of all the cash that he spends there for the lifetime.

There are no adult sponsors that have such a policy or at least the ones I know of and I never heard of them, so chances are big that there are none. So you can advertise many different sites in your own place (be it a blog, a video tube, et cetera).

All the models are provided by the sponsors and they are being paid and managed by them, so you do not have to deal with them at all.

So if you are an affiliate, you just promote other’s websites and you will get paid when you refer someone that spends money and you do not have to produce any content, hire and train models and do a bunch of other stuff that will consume a lot of your time.

In some cases, the sponsor does not make the most money. For example in the cam business the standard is that they have to pay models like 40%, affiliates get paid usually 20-30% and 10% for the payment processing and the owner makes around 20% of all earnings and from this he has to pay the team of programmers, lawyers, accountants, et cetera to keep his business alive and there are many other expenses that can be really big like hosting servers and ad buying. As you can see, it is a cost, time and stress consuming business so in all fairness, as an affiliate, you are getting paid well for what you do.

Thank you so much for such a prompt response.

I am thinking of building a site from scratch. and have my own performers.
BUT also use the affiliate site(s) to advertise for my own site.

    Could that work?

I believe I have the tech support and enough capital to do that. My biggest concern is recruiting models…

Where can I find models? I see that there are from all over the world? Any suggestions?

Thank you again for your earlier response.

You have a unique advantage of creating original content for your site. I would look around even on Twitter to see if there are any amateurs looking to take the next step in performing.

It depends on what kind of site you plan on building. If you want to run a paysite, then you will need to shoot your own content or hire a photographer that will do this if you have models and then you can sell the content but with the webcam site you will need to have performers working all the time, not all of them, but you need to have hundreds of them live at any given time.

I can tell you that running a webcam site is more complicated and definitely more expensive, but in return it can very profitable but you need to do all the things correctly and compete with other big brands in the market and it is a very hard thing to do, almost impossible for a newbie and that is why there are only a very few such sites on the web.

You can get models by recruiting them on the web, you can use forums, Instagram, Twitter and other places for this or you can also do it the old way by finding them on the street, some people still do this with more or less success but it can work.

If you are new to the adult industry, I would strongly suggest you to build some affiliate websites first and then after you gather some experience and knowledge from it, you might open a full fledged business on your own.

    Thanks again for all input.

S0 I understand from this and other posts, there are NO agencies that offer/promote for hiring models/performers for/within this industry?

Of course there is plenty of them, but it depends where you live. Just try searching for this term on Google: Adult Modeling Agencies (here insert the country or city) and you should find something.

it’s rather a simple concept. you find a product and you want to advertise it on your Twitter, on your adult website or even on forums (if the sponsor allows it) and you sign up for their program and you become their affiliate so now you will receive money for every completed sale that you send them.

What do you mean by completed sale? What exactly am I selling as an affiliate? I want to start my own site but I am trying to understand everything first before I start investing in it.

    Thank you
