A pm i got today on the other forum had me wondering. the person pming me felt 100 sales a day wasn’t very many for an adult affiliate program, but when i thought about it i know lots of programs that make less than 100 sales per day and do rather well. true, they may not be huge programs, but at that rate some support 3 webmasters well plus pay all expenses.

so that got me to wondering. i know affiliates who are thrilled to make 5 sales per day and some who are pissed off if they don’t make 25 or 50. so what do YOU consider “a lot” of sales per day?

If I could make 50 sales a day (my own or affiliate), I could quite my day job. Hell, I would quite my day job and do everything possible to do a 100 sales a day.

You’ve just given me something new to strive for.

I’m no whale… over 10 sales is a great day for me. That’s just in adult though.

Just thought I’d add this. Huge difference between an affiliate and a program, IMO. A program has costs, sometimes of actual production of content, which they simply have to cover. As an affiliate, the only thing I need to cover is my own working time.

20 or even 30 daily sales could be – for the same person – a lot or really few. It’s all about how much each sale is.

As program owner offering $4.95 trials, the MINIMUM profit for each sales after 50% to affiliate and cc processor fees is about $1.50. These days selling JUST trials is more than normal.

As affiliate that works mainly with PPS, 30 daily sales are amazing money in my pocket.

    1st case: $1.50 * 30 = $45

    2nd case: $35 * 30= $1050

I agree with people that say that the first case implies a potential “big earning” within the next 3 days (if it’s a 3 days trial) but looking the “bare” sales, there’s a huge difference.

reading this thread makes me think of an old business adage, you have to watch your margins not your churn!

Jonvryant hit the nail right on the head, It’s all about profit, not sales. For some 100 sales a day maybe a lot. for others 500 sales a day maybe a bad day. Depends on your expenses.
