They’re pulling some opt out scam. I got an email saying: “We’re happy to have you as one of our most valued customers. In appreciation of your continued loyalty, you’ve been chosen to be enrolled in our Gold VIP Program. As part of this special program, you will receive these great benefits:”
You get a bunch of BS that sounds great, but really isn’t anything, then they enroll you in something called Saferenew, which basically just auto-renews your domains. And then there’s this, “Your services will automatically renew. To ensure continuation of service, please be certain you have a valid credit card on file. If you do not wish for your services to be automatically renewed …”
God, and people think the adult industry is bad.
I moved all of my adult sites off them of them a long time ago when I decided to consolidate all my domains with one company.
Not only that but they have kept their prices so high I had not registered a new domain in years using them. They made/make it nearly impossible to transfer domains!
Things must be tough over there because they’re trying to sell everything under the sun. I get about five emails a week trying to sell me all kinds of extra services.
Well with the prices they charge, scamming is probably the only way they can make money.
