I tried to enable AMP (accelerated mobile pages) in my tube website (installing the amp for wp plugin). The website turned very fast, but the videos embeeded with kenplayer turned into a static image. Does the kenplayer need an update or something to work with AMP?

You can see an example here:
    with amp:
    animehentaitube.site/free-h-animeanime-hentsihental-tube/amp/

    without amp:
    animehentaitube.site/free-h-animeanime-hentsihental-tube/

I do not think it is this issue is caused on the KenPlayer side and to be honest, if your theme is fully responsive and is well coded then you do not need any AMP. I have checked the support forum for this AMP plugin and there are many issues caused by this plugin and I am not sure how to fix it since I do not use this plugin, you may contact them on their support forum here wordpress.org/support/plugin/accelerated-mobile-pages.

When installing amp i noted and improvement in speed from 0,9s to 0,7,reduction of html querries from 60 to 20, page size from 500kb to 200, yslow score from 64 to 90, etc. and the yoast seo team sais that AMP pages rank much higher in google (AMP is being pushed by google very hard).

I already contactedM AMPforWP support, they answered this: Thank you for using AMPforWP Plugin,

Has Kenplayer Plugin made a compatibility with AMPforWP?

    Please let us know?

    Regards,
    Kaleem.

Ok, great but 0,9s to 0,7 is almost unnoticeable. You may use some optimization plugins like Autoptimize and they are making your page really lightweight. I am not sure if it is compatible, but it is to be expected since there are thousands of plugins.

well, actually the 0,7 was achieved before caching , just installing the plugin (and it’s like 20% faster).

    vs.

Actually, the test was made in desktop, in mobile the difference is bigger, google claims like 348% faster

. I already have the w3total cache, cloudflare, and i’m hosted in an abelohost vps. The problem with most of the plugins, is that they do improve the scores, but then as the wordpress has more plugins, it actually loads slower. It happened to me with the pagespeed ninja, the JCH optimize, and some others i do not remember the name.

Another factor of weight is that google ranks better the pages using AMP, although they do not admit it officially (there is a tab in the webmaster tools for AMP).

I made the test with dotcom-tools.com/website-speed-test.aspx using an android browser.

My website is hosted in Amsterdam, What i see, is that makes, little to no effect in the servers that are near, but with servers that are far away it makes big reductions (I do not know if the AMP page is already been cached in far away servers, as i made it yesterday at night, and google sais that didn’t still crawl any amp page),
