So I’m in the process of helping my friend with his self-hosted softcore blog and we’re running on some stumbling blocks. He’s thinking about more monetization but softcore is a tough spot: too adult for mainstream affiliates but hardcore affiliates would alienate a lot of his readership.

Does anyone here have any experience monetizing softcore blogs?

I could be your partner in the common cause. I’m interested in the same topic of publications like this for my own site on different sites as exchange. Anyway, I’m looking for various kind of optimization works including guest posting, exchange links, web content and PCC. It’ll be interesting and useful.

I do not have any softcore websites, but I have heard lots of good things about these two adult affiliate programs: ftvcash.com and metartmoney.com. These two affiliate sites offer high quality softcore websites to promote and monetizing your site with them is your best bet, I think.

Thank you for the advice. I should have mentioned that it’s a gay blog. The owner sometimes includes Amazon Associates links to clothing but he’s not consistent enough with it to get significant earnings. Honestly, and I told him this, he probably needs a new theme that would encourage more clicks, but we’re stuck on that front too. Do you know any gay non-hardcore affiliate programs?

Ok, I honestly do not promote any softcore gay sites, but if you do leave the site URL in your next reply (no one expect me would be able to see that link) so that I can go to the site and see which sponsor might work with your traffic. I do promote some amateur gay affiliate programs and it is hard to tell which one may work for you without actually seeing your site.

You may also google the keywords you are targeting with your site and check out what related sites in your niche are promoting.

I included the site in the URL field. I advised him to look into Andrew Christian’s affiliate program to start with, but I do not know if he has yet. Again one thing I believe would help is a new, more click and ad-friendly theme, like one that at least has room for sidebars.

They have an affiliate program: andrewchristian.com/affiliate-program. As for themes, there are plenty of free good themes that have sidebars and areas for ads, just check out this link: wordpress.org/themes/browse/popular and I recommend you to use MyThemeShop (https://mradultaffiliate.com/go/mts/ – link to their website) themes if you can invest $40 in themes.
