    I have one site that I can’t get to rank no matter what I do, my other adult sites are fine, just this one particular domain. According to ismywebsitepenalized.com I’ve been banned by Bing, also not ranking at all on Yahoo.

    I’ve gone through a complete overhaul of the site, corrected the rules in G, however I’m still only page 8 on G. I’m not at wits end but I’m not understanding the next steps I need to take. What’s a bitch is the site they are ranking for similar titles and keywords are bullshit tgp’s and rotator scripts. Interestingly my tumblr with the same name ranks like page 3/4, I just can’t seem to get this thing going.

    Any thoughts of underlying issues would be appreciated, I’ve done an overhaul which included a lot of corrections including adding a sitemap, render blocking script, cloaking script, cleaned up posts for excessive images, removed banners, etc.

    It would help us a lot if we knew what the site was.

    It really depends on the nature of the penalty. People who got penguin penalties 18 months ago are still waiting for their penalties to be lifted. And if a new site gets penalized it can be nearly impossible to revive it since Google just doesn’t trust it.

    And as far as Bing & Yahoo – who cares? Maybe it’s different in the tgirl market, but gay or straight guys just don’t use those search engines.

    @Jay,

    Yeah, I’ve never worried about Bing before as for a long time, and through all the G updates, they stayed basic and consistent and everything always ranked like the old days. It’s just frustrating me because I’m not clear on what is keeping it from not moving forward in my ranking, after a complete overhaul.

    @dannyz,

    I’ve been reluctant to post it as it’s a straight site, didn’t suspect anyone here would want to look at fish. I branched out about two years ago in different niches, them being BBW and MILF, figured what the hell as there was a ton of content that was in the multi site programs I belong to and why let it go to waste since I’m already an aff and it was as simple as setting up the channels. They’ve both served me well in additional sales and the BBW niche especially is strong and narrow enough that people gravitate towards it. The MILF niche has a ton of content available however I’ve found it’s a bit of a fine line with respect to surfer interest and what is really mature porn. Subsequently I’m almost willing to say there is not clear enough definition or interest in it, however in the UK there seems to be a better acceptance and overall quality of performers versus the US. Many of the “porn stars” billed in the MILF category are only in their thirties, which isn’t technically a ‘mother I’d like to fuck’ look. But still the content is overall very good, but I need for it to rank as my sales are suffering.

    How much do you use social media? You on Twitter or just Tumblr? Try upping the social media game to drive more traffic.

    For a vanilla site I have Pinterest brings about 50% of the traffic. Evergreen traffic that just keeps on coming. Social media can be very powerful with traffic generation.

    Keep posting useful content regularly. Do not copy, just write your own unique titles, some text writing, tags and all the other stuff. You should also try to get some good backlinks from authority sites in your niche. Please do not expect results overnight, it will not happen. Check out also my articles on how to rank adult websites.

    SEO now days doesn’t have any magic solutions. But guys here pretty mich pointed out the most important areas.

    Content is everything. Good quality, unique and regular new posts. You definitely cannot just copy ready made text or collages. It has to attract and engage people.

    You need links to your site. One way to get more is using social bookmarking and sharing like AddThis.

    Make sure to do the basics like good titles, H1, H2 tags.

    No point focusing on the big terms like “porn”, you won’t stand a chance. Go for longtail instead.
