I’ve just “shelled” out a couple of hundred dollars on the hostgator hosting as I used to use them some years back. But that seems to be a big mistake, looking through this forum their support seems “shite” now.
No e-mail just their live chat which seems to take hours over here in UK.
I’ve managed to find a form to cancel the hosting which is only a couple of days old is their anyone else had a similar situation and have they refunded easily?
Wish I had had a check on here before i went down their road!!!
Any recommendations on a more suitable, a relatively cheap and more reliable adult friendly hosting for simple shared hosting which doesn’t include a live chat support system?

Sorry to hear about your very bad experience with the Hostgator. They may be a quite cheap but their support sucks and my friend hosted his sites with them as well and I would not recommend anyone to use their service.

Both of them are very good and also very professional so you are not going to have any support issues with them.
I have had a bad hosting experience with HostGator and I do not recommend them at all, even when I upgraded to a VPS I still had problems with their reliability (you just have to visit their status page to see the ongoing problems they have). I currently have a shared hosting account with 247Host and I am very happy with their price, reliability and support. My blog is currently hosted with them and they are the very best I have experienced and I can not recommend them highly enough. It would be great if others would share their experiences as well to help you make a decision. Hopefully this helps with your decision and I wish you the very best.
