I have already built two such websites on WordPress and I love that fact that almost everything is automated. I don’t have to add videos every day like with tubes and of course I add some blog posts from time to time but it is way less work than with any other adult project, yet it is still profitable for me.

I hope you don’t want to start a real webcam site since it is going to get you lots of headaches unless you are rich and you have been successful at adult with some other websites already, otherwise it isn’t something that a newcomer should do.

My friend launched one and he burnt over $100,000 on the software, hiring designers, coders, models, billing and hosting and after few months he had to close up the shop because he made just $2,000 in a few months.

If I remember correctly he has paid over $1200 for a hosting alone every month and I don’t want to mention server admin team, developer team and a lawyer and he would have to pay a fixed fee to his cam models.

It is better to start a site with the script that will load models from affiliate sponsors, since overhead is extremely low.
