On the GFY website some posters said they use Facebook ads to promote cam sites like Chaturbate, although they admitted it was hard because the ads had to be “clean”. Facebook has a policy against adult content. How do I use Facebook ads to promote such offers without getting banned?

Promoting anything related to adult on Facebook is like playing with fire.

Their rules clearly state that they do not allow such content. Heck, they do not even allow posting pictures showing dressed women in sexually suggestive poses or cleavages these days.

So forget about running any adult ads, even if you cloak it, they will quickly find it out and backlist your domain and your account.

You can say that they become less and less adult friendly with each passing day.

A few years ago you would be able to run a non nude page on there, but now it is a big no no.

I have lost many pages of combined over a one million likes and I gave up on them, at least until they change their stance toward adult, but honestly, I do not see it happen any time soon.

If you are creative, you can drive some traffic, but it is a hit and miss, even if you manage to keep your page for months, they can slap a ban on you just like that.

There are some big porn brands that still have their own official pages on Facebook, but they do not post any pictures or anything that could break the rules since they follow them to the letter unlike an average affiliate, they do not even post their domain names there.

You might be able to run a page, if you do not post any adult links, pictures and you might add some non nude watermarked pictures with a domain name added.

That being said, Facebook is very challenging for adult affiliates but you can still drive some traffic from your page for some time before they eventually ban hammer you if you find a creative way around.

I can not really tell you how to do that, but you should be able to find other Facebook pages, groups, accounts that promote adult offers and model them.

Personally I prefer to spend the time and effort engaging through Twitter and Tumblr, from my experience the results from those two far outweigh anything that might come from FB. When I attempted to engage through FB I found something like 70% of all the likes and shares were from obvious spammers, so while something might look as though it’s had some reach, it’s pointless if those it’s reaching are just liking content to give the impression of being a genuine user and Facebook can close your page you anytime.

I imagine it might be good in isolation if you have the time to really dedicate to it.
