There seems to be a growing trend to exclude model last names from descriptions that go out in the affiliate mailers. This means that before I can schedule your video on my tubes that I have to go to your site and see if “John and Mark” are anyone notable.

I’d be over the moon if every description showed the first instance of a model’s name to include both first and surname, after that, you can call them “John and Mark” all you want. The ones I’m dealing with at the moment don’t even include the full names anywhere in the affiliate mailer.

It’s such a small thing, but saves me lots of back and forth to websites.

    Thanks

I will personally go through ours and check we include in all, we do usually include SOMEWHERE in the description, but I know there have been times we have missed a couple out!

    Thanks.

i particularly like last names even for first-timers because in the future they could become well known, and having their full porn name in my blogs could bring more search engine traffic.

Thanks, FrenchTwinks, but I don’t ever recall having to hunt for model names with your descriptions, both names are usually right in the first line.

IMHO, the sponsor that most often gets close to perfect on scene descriptions is Gunz Blazing. Here’s one of theirs from years ago, but they’ve maintained the same format for many years now…

    Release date: 19 April 2010
    Date of Production: 11/13/08
    Site: hotbarebacking.com

Title: Jack Trade and JD Lopez

Muscled Latino spunk JD Lopez looks so excited from the opening moments of this encounter with black stud Jack Trade. We think it’s because he knows he’s about to get an ass-full off hung black sausage in his tight, raw hole. He warms that monstercock up with his mouth first before Jack unleashes it on his hole. He fucks JD in every position imaginable, and he still can’t seem to get enough of that chunky black meat.
    ———————————————————————————————————————-
JD Lopez is the ultimate bottom. A muscled Latino rider, he can take a massive cock up his hole and look fucking fantastic while taking every inch. His hot muscles protrude at every angle as he’s being fucked raw by big meat and he can get that ass into any position deemed necessary by his tops. This is an accomodating muscle bottom of the first order.
    ———————————————————————————————————————-
Jack Trade is an Eddie Murphy look-alike that got us all wondering whether that celebrity comedian was packing as much heat as this boy. Because this black beauty has some serious appendage in his pants. His stunning nine-inches look amazing just hanging between his legs, let alone penetrating the ass of some poor unfortunate bottom who has to take that monster bareback.

Keywords: Interracial, Black, Big Dick, Hung, Muscle, Fucking.

Features: Jack Trade and JD Lopez

So what’s so great about that description? Going in the order they’ve specified…

Dates – At times, they’re incredibly important. With date of production I can figure out years the performer was active. If I can figure out the performer’s date of birth (through other sources) I can tell his age at the time of production. (Gunz is the only sponsor that consistently gives the date of production). And with release date I can present lists of their scenes in chronological order, or mention to my visitors that the scene is an older one from their archives. The only thing I’d fault Gunz on is that the date formats aren’t consistent (as you can see). And sometimes the production dates are things like “June 2012 – February 2013”. I get why that is, but it makes it complicated.

Site – it may seem weird to include this but sometimes, the way NATS is structured, I sometimes pull scenes and put them under the wrong site. This is a good double check against that, and is easy to include.

Title – Please make sure your titles are unique. If Jack Trade and JD Lopez did another scene together, word the title differently.

Scene Description – Tells me enough to know who’s fucking who. Sometimes you have no clue which guy is the top and which is the bottom after reading some sponsors’ descriptions. Notice, the description doesn’t need to be long – you just need to be complete. One thing I will fault Gunz for is they didn’t say how the loads were delivered at the end on a bareback site. My customers care about that. I need to know whether the top gave the bottom the load in his ass or elsewhere.

Model Descriptions/Bios – AFAIK Gunz don’t usually include these, but when they do they can be really useful.

Keywords – These are useful from time to time IF they’re accurate and thoughtful. Sometimes it’s easy to forget a tag for a blog post and these can jog your thinking. And if the scene description didn’t say how the top delivered the load and there’s the keyword ‘breeding’ then I can deduce that the bottom got the load in his ass. But they’re also useful when you need to find scenes with big dicks, or uncut dicks, etc.

“Features” (Model List) – These are SO useful. Possibly one of the most useful things. I tag each scene with the models in the scene. I can automate that IF they’re presented in a structured format like this. And, if they didn’t mention the model’s last names in the title or description, I can pick them up here.

The only thing Gunz doesn’t include that I wish they did is their internal scene ID. It can really help avoid dupes.

So that’s my “could you please write descriptions like this” example. Sponsors have databases. Use them to create comprehensive .txt description files and include them in your content zips…

That’s an easy enough request. I am sure we can start to include the first and last names in the newsletters.
