Does anyone have TGP or MGP adult sites? how they convert today? generate some seo traffic ?
There is one gay one that DID OK for sales at FrenchTwinks as an affiliate, but maybe only 2-3 sales a week on quite a bit of traffic… but they stopped updating about a month back, so I can only assume they died out as they not replying to emails… so thats maybe not a good sign.
I have one main that has taken about a year to raise $150.00 ( cheque arrived a couple days back). I think if i did spend a lot more time on it then it could be more viable and particularly working with adult sponsors their content does convert well!
Yes, I have a growing network of TGP/MGPs with a couple of tubes in there just for good measure. My adult TGP is outperforming everything else right now, especially in the niches. I do spend time on it mainly because I manually build nice, clean galleries and submit to the few other more general TGPs/LLs that are still around. I am ALWAYS looking for quality places to submit my carefully crafted galleries. Not everyone visits tubes, so we do need to have something for those that prefer a cleaner approach to their porn.
A lot of the TGP’s closed up shop when the 2257 threatened a 5 year jail term if secondary users didn’t keep ID records, put their names on every page, have everything available 24/7, etc etc etc. I would love to know what TGP’s and LinkLists are still out there. Any chance Pyewacket that you’d share some urls with us?
Sure. I regularly submit to the Hun, Outlaw TGP, Greenguy’s Link-o-Rama – try link-o-rama.com), and Persian Kitty. Smaller TGPs – Smiling Pussy Links, Porn Pitstop, and my own network with My Gay Machine being my gay TGP that is very much a work in progress. I also have gay galleries on several other of my network sites like Amateurs, Ethnic, Kinky, and of course the general ones.
Most of what I have seen is closed off to submits from anyone. So many people have quit building galleries all together and submits everywhere are maybe 1% of what they were even 5 years ago. Others simply scrape the sponsor’s FHGs and submit them, even to the Hun. Most of the ones I submit to require a free partner account. Persian Kitty does not and has always returned quality traffic, even on the galleries. Is it worth taking the time to put up sponsor galleries as well as make custom ones? In my honest opinion, yes. My gay TGP has already paid the hosting bill for my entire adult and mainstream network this year. Everything from this point on is gravy.
That’s great to see. I know we still get pretty good views on our photo sets, so there is a market for it. Just not many places really serving them anymore. So glad to see you going against the grain on that.
Hehehe.. I have always gone against the grain. I still believe people do enjoy the quieter pace of photo sets, and don’t need to have hours of poorly shot, blurry videos to be entertained. My favorite thing back in the old day of free sites was to take a photo set I liked and write a story to go with it. Of course, I did a gallery with just the photos for those that could care less about the story, but it is always a great mental exercise to make your own box. Even now, I try to combine a video clip with still images to offer a variety. I love sponsors like XXXRewards because they do understand there is a wider audience out there – an audience that wants more than tube clips.
I think you are right, TGP as such isnt over entirely. There is still lots of people who wants photos or both videos and photos. However I think it has to be self-hosted rather than traditional TGPs where you send off the visitor to a crappy hosted gallery.
