You will get better conversions with banners, but text links will make more sales.
Sometimes it is hard to put a text link in a design that calls for a banner. Also keep in mind that banners help brand, so your text links will do better.
This is another great reason to measure visits and sales to your sponsor sites constantly. Measure results, and check it out/make changes when sales deteriorate.

True, but they know when you do update now, and some who are re billers, plan their days accordingly. May sound daft, but people are creatures of habit, and if you change their comfort zone, they get cranky. That can lead to a fit of anger which can pass, or can end in a ‘no, I ain’t signing up for another month’.
Ask your members, because they are already used to your update dates, so maybe a change might not go over well with them, assuming there are a fair number, which I would wager there are.
Really depends. I tend to do better with sites from smaller programs as they are usually not over saturated.
From an SEO perspective you absolutely should have them on the same site.

These days the search engines want to link to authoritative sites – sites they can trust. It is the reason why even stub articles in Wikipedia can rank for some search terms.
Yes, you may have a business reason to use separate domains (like you want to sell one of them), but there are other ways around that, like 301ing the directory when you do the sale. If you chose a different option make sure you know what you are potentially giving up by doing it…

It actually happens a lot. When a site suddenly drops or makes no or little sales I normally check it out to see that its actually up and running, after that like Barth mentioned look at the billing processors, affiliate codes etc.
Most of the cases I have had has been either the paysite has suddenly changed to a new processor but not told affiliates OR the site does not work in one or another way.
The additional text on the page can be good for SEO, and it makes the adult site seem more active and current to the spiders when they see the content on the page growing.
On the other hand, irrelevant and spammy comments will hurt your rankings. They can very easily decrease the value of your website in the Google’s eyes.
I have decided to approve comments with links if the content seems beneficial or interesting to my readers (I just hope they come back to me again).
I personally would not approve his comments and I would probably send him a email where I would politely ask him to stop submitting spammy comments.
