It is not good to hide anything on your page, because it will disturb the user experience and your bounce rate will get higher which then will lead to your Google rankings getting down.
I do not use such plugins, instead, I do everything I can to make sure that my ads are not blocked by them. What you can do? You should host your banners (all ads you have) on your server (upload it to your WordPress site) and then use the PrettyLinks to mask your affiliate link and do other things.
