Totally agree. And we have to admit, Google is very actively helping them. Although most content there is stolen and uploaded without the consent of the owners. Just look at Prnhb. They have everything.

Right now it’s just Twitter and Reddit, both are likely to make the change at the same time, probably in the next six months. The only thing stopping them is the risk of competition, and once that’s gone there’s no reason for either to continue to take the risk.

There are, however, other services opening. Exodus was one I saw a few days ago, but there’s at least one other planning to allow adult. It used to be incredibly hard for a new network to get an adequate user base and start the ball rolling, but I don’t know how the demise of Tumblr might change that. Obviously, Apple won’t be giving them app market access, so that’s going to be a major stumbling block for them.

The perception is that the only thing that could improve things for us is if new laws targeted access to Tube sites, but then any law created to diminish their reach would likely impact the rest of us in the same way.

So, it’s unlikely there will ever be a level playing field when it comes to Tubes and the damage they’re doing will likely not slow down no matter what laws are passed in the future.
